Arabic and Islamic education policy
Stored wording, last edited 21 October 2026
Adapt this template. It is not an ADEK policy, and completing it does not by itself meet a regulatory requirement. Replace every placeholder in brackets and keep a version date.
Purpose
[School name] provides Arabic and Islamic education to the students who are required to study them, for the time the current rules require, with staff who can teach them. Other students receive the cultural and Arabic provision the school has committed to publish.
Principles
- The timetable is checked against entitlement each term, not assumed.
- Native and non-native pathways are different routes to real progress, not a lighter copy.
- Prayer and observance arrangements are clear, respectful, and supervised.
- Other subjects do not treat Arabic time as the slot that can always be borrowed.
- Values taught here are referenced in school life without turning every display into a substitute for the lesson.
Confirm minutes, staffing qualifications, and which students are required to attend against current ADEK rules before you publish numbers.
